RichX Domains is a domain registrar storefront built on live registry data — every price and availability check shown on the site is real-time, not cached. We're part of the wider RichX ecosystem, and the first registrar to offer an optional blockchain proof-of-claim: a timestamped, cryptographic record of your domain claim written to RichX Chain.
Domain registration itself is provided through our accredited registrar partner. The blockchain notary stamp is a separate, optional add-on — it is not the legal domain registration.
In plain English: when you pay for the notary stamp, we take a fingerprint (a cryptographic hash) of your claim — the domain, the exact time, and who claimed it — and write that fingerprint to RichX Chain, a public blockchain. That record is permanent and anyone can verify it on RichXScan.
Important: buying a domain by itself does not put anything on the blockchain. The two are separate, independently priced purchases — you only get a chain stamp if you specifically choose and pay for it at checkout.
What it proves: that you claimed a specific domain at a specific moment in time, in a way nobody — including us — can quietly alter afterward.
Why it's worth doing: a normal domain database record can be quietly edited by whoever controls the database. A blockchain record can't — once written, it's public and checkable by anyone, forever, independent of richxdomains.com continuing to exist. That's genuinely useful as provenance: proof you were first to claim a name, evidence in a naming dispute, or simply a permanent public record if you ever sell or transfer the domain later. The 24-hour reservation is also a real, practical benefit in the moment — it stops someone else buying that exact name out from under you on this platform while you're completing your purchase decision.
What it does not do: it does not register the domain. It creates no legal ownership, and it is not a substitute for the legal protections a real registration or a trademark provides. The actual registration is a separate, ordinary process handled through our registrar partner, and it follows normal domain rules — including renewal.
If you let the actual registration expire: the blockchain record of your original claim stays on-chain forever as historical proof you claimed the name at that time — but it does not stop the domain from becoming available to someone else once it expires and the standard registry deletion process completes. The timestamp gives you no special right to reclaim an expired domain. Renewing your registration on time is what keeps the domain yours — the chain stamp is proof of history, not an ongoing lock. Every registered domain gets a public certificate page (linked after checkout) showing exactly when it was registered, the term length, and the expiry date.
Separately, the 24-hour platform reservation that comes with a paid stamp is short-lived and unrelated to long-term expiry — it only stops someone else from buying that same domain through richxdomains.com in the 24 hours right after you notarize it.
